This is a very chill and casual album to play in the background while studying, gaming, or just walking. Due to it being a Don Toliver album, the lyrics aren't the best which is okay because its not meant to be a lyric-heavy album. The production is great and in my opinion this is Don Toliver's best work. The features are also amazing and fit the songs well. Favourites: Sweet Home, E85
I kind of forgot this album was even coming out due to how long it had been teased and pushed back, so my hype for the album basically died out, similar to I AM MUSIC by Playboi Carti. When it finally dropped I had decent expectations (to be better than TESTING), which it definitely met, but I was left somewhat disappointed. This album is an absolute disgrace. I understand that this album is meant to be a political album dissing Donald Trump and American Politics but the songs are a joke. I personally don't get annoyed or offended by the political references because I am not American. Surely it isn't that hard to make an album that disses politics and still have enjoyable music. You know it's bad when Ed Sheeran carries a song on his own. Looking back on it, all the features do well and try to save ... read more
If this is actually J.Cole's final album, then it is an incredible place to end his discography. There is not a single Song on this album that I would consider Skipping because they are so well done in lyricism and production. This is miles better than Might Delete Later and it reminds me of J.Cole's earlier albums that I loved (e.g. The Warm Up, Friday Night Lights, and 2014 Forest Hill Drive).
I don't know what it is about this album that makes me love it so much. Each time I listen to it I love it more and more. It might be due to Metro's amazing production throughout as well as the transitions which flawlessly link songs together in a way which makes them seem like they are all one section in a song, and it is amazing. Each artist that is featured on songs all do an amazing job in terms of rapping and singing. The segments that are done in songs as a skit are done ... read more
