Bang on a Can - New York Counterpoint; Eight Lines; Four Organs
80

The song and dance of Four Organs will triumph through generations thanks to me. I will teach it to my kin and they to theirs.

Kronos Quartet / Pat Metheny - Different Trains / Electric Counterpoint
100

Expansion. Labor. Exploration. Class. An America breaking train barriers through coal soon to be unknowingly lapped by tech.

Bebetune$ - Inhale C-4 $$$$$

MACCAU CELEBRITIES YESTERDAY. MACCAU CELEBRITIES TODAY. MACCAU CELEBRITIES TOMORROW. MACCAU CELEBRITIES UNTIL THE END OF TIME.

Bassvictim - Forever

Amazing start, shaky middle, amazing end

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85–92
90

Aphex does this little condensed deeply in-pocket little shimmy dance for 74 minutes to the 10 Ambient Commandments he himself wrote in this exact album.

Wayne Jarrett - Chip In
80

Bass so fat and juicy it'll put you in a coma.

Cachirula - SEXOLANDIA
60

Fastpass to Sexolandia pls

Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs
100

Accessible eccentricity...whatever that means oh god I should go outside

ESPRIT 空想 [Esprit Fantasy] - 200% Electronica
80

Just when you thought you knew they were two separate artists, this album makes you rethink yourself.

George Clanton and Esprit are two different artists right?!
Have I played tennis with only one or both?!
Who would I trust more with my firstborn child or does it not matter since they are one in the same?!
If George says no, Esprit will say yes and I can go to the party?! Yeah!

Going back to this after being so familiar with the George Clanton discography is like watching highlights of your favorite player's rookie season.

what is your name? - the now now and never
70

You and the boys just casually jamming in the garage: shoeing, gazing, yearning.

Sky Ferreira - Ghost

There's Everything is Embarrassing and then there's everything else

Baby Keem - Ca$ino
70

Very fun in some parts, but when Keem gets deep into his demons it feels like we're there in the room with him. No metaphors, no wordplay, just the raw moments.

Blood Orange - Cupid Deluxe
90

Hate to discover that I was present when great shit like this was popping off but I just wasn't tapped in...

Negro Swan put me on, and as an album it's hard to top, but there are still some all-timers on this one.

Mac DeMarco - Salad Days
80

Yes, yes I know about the drumstick uh huh yeah.

death's dynamic shroud - You Like Music
80

As a question? Yes!
As a statement. Indeed!
As an exclamation. Ahhhhhh!
I Love Music.

454 - 4 REAL
90

Cloud. Soul. Trap. Whatever 454 is 454 and there's no one else doing it or sounding like him.

Late Night?!?! Andretti?!?! Heaven?!?! Face Time etc etc etc. The repetition on certain tracks never gets old and just amplifies the catchiness and appreciation.

A few collective missed swings, but they shine nonetheless off their uniqueness alone.

The love and fun for the craft oozes off the album. Such a joy to listen to.

454 & SURF GANG - Fast 5
100

Surf Gang: Concise. Relenting. On a wave of their own.
454: At 100. As infectious as ever. A gift of a voice.

454 4 3v3r

New Romantic is fucking amazing. It has it all. It feels like Andy was able to realize all his dreams of how a song should sound like and weave it all into one.

Unfortunately it's also carrying this album mostly by itself, but maybe that's just another testament to how great that song is.

ZelooperZ - Van Gogh's Left Ear
70

ZelooperZ ran so that Lil Wayne could drive off a mountain on Peanuts 2 N Elephant
