Capricorn is a beautiful song. Sounds like a return to form with a matured sound.
For sure some of Zimmerman’s best work so far. This would have been an 80 if he had cut some tracks.

I'm a little sad to be honest. I didn't expect something so similar to Mega. I felt that it would've been in the best interest of Blank Banshee to bring on collaborators and try something substantially different than his past works. Without the use of samples like in his first mixtape, Gaia feels like it lacks character and depth. Sounds as if most of the songs are dull B-sides of Mega. “Purple Noon” is quite literally the embodiment of an artist overusing a formula without adding new distinct features to the sound. The record is a trendy 2020 equivalent of his debut “Within and Without.”

There is so much to say about this album. It is quite literally one of the most successful and important "indie" (technically not indie hence the quotations) albums of the 2010s. Not only is it such a defining moment for the 2010s "indie" music scene, but it truly shows the full artistic ability and skill of Kevin Parker.
