The album I needed right now in this moment of my life. Easily the AOTY for me so far in 2023.
It's kind of rare, but from time to time we get a truly masterpiece. I was intending to write some elaborated text describing how much emotional, fascinated and *alive* this album made me feel. The thing is: I just can't. It may really be one of the best albums I listened to that was released in about 5 or 6 years. No other words can be said right now.
I have a feeling it is an album that might get better as time goes by. At first contact, sounds like a decent record with good balance between the "feel good" tracks and the emotional ones, once again very well written. On the other hand, it doesn't come up with many highlights such as Billie's previous album.
It might be St. Vincent's best album so far. A very impressive work in her already strong discography.
One of, if not the, definitive album of the genre. It's one hour of pure rock and roll and celebration of greatness. A must hear.
One of the most underrated albums of the 1990s. It's the best work of Jonathan after "The Modern Lovers", full of feel-good songs.
Maybe the most deserved AOTY in the 21th century. This album hits hard, and it's beautiful.
