Fantastic album that benefits from its name as much as it suffers from it, in that many expect a replica of the original Pink Friday (which would never ever live up to a person's expectations due to Pink Friday benefiting from nostalgia glasses). This album has a swath of mature, elevated tracks such as Are You Gone Already and Just The Memories, interspersed with more light-hearted fun tracks like Pink Friday Girls and Everybody. Overall, as someone who grew up with the original Pink Friday, ... read more
As someone who never really got into one direction, or followed them particularly closely until they started releasing their own solo albums, Louis went from "guy who wouldn't really stick to a genre" to "oh okay I see where he's going" to now being pretty pleased with a lot of what he puts out - Faith in the Future is the most aligned album of his thus far, and he's shown great growth in his songwriting and vocal abilities.
