A 50 because 50% of this is phone calls. The actual music is good, its just that there is like 8 minutes of music. Free Sly.
Yeah it's pretty damn awesome. Good Westside Gunn, good production, good features, a bit too many interludes, but all around very good. Sensational Sherri has one of the best Benny verses, Lunchin is one of Gunn's best rapping on any song, and the run from AS3 to Dance Floor Love to Gunnlib is such a great run of short songs. Oh and Lakers VS Rockets is one of the most badass songs I have ever heard. Pretty damn awesome.
It's like seeing somebody get shot in an art gallery. The contrast between the fancy beats and the nasty rapping results in a very beautiful album. And while Westside has very good rapping, the features are by far the standouts on the album, with other coke rappers like Freddie and the other two Griselda members, to more out there choices such as Tyler and a god damn tap dancer. Every part of Pray for Paris is fine art.
Some of Jay-Z's best lyrics over some of No I.D.'s best beats results in one of the most vulnerable album's I have ever heard. From songs talking about his flaws like Kill Jay Z and 4:44, to songs talking about the industry with Caught Their Eyes and Moonlight, over to songs covering wealth like Legacy and Story of OJ. With just 10 Tracks Jay brings one of the best retirement albums ever made.
