After coming off a whole week or two of going through all of the legendary Roots catalogue, it's only right for me to listen to the 2022 near masterpiece by Black Thought and Danger Mouse. First off, the production on this album is second to none, Danger Mouse brings the most cinematic yet diverse, and completely ear-catching beats. Tracks like Because, The Darkest Part, Belize, VIOLAS AND LUPITAS, I could go on. Arguably the best produced album of 2022.

When it comes to the rapping performance, we are aggressively reminded just how dominant and how strong of a lyricist Black Thought is. This man's rapping skills age like fine wine. Fantastic lyricism, and not a single bad performance from BT. Features as well absolutely cooked on this album. Can you find a single bad feature? I can't. It's actually ridiculous how underrated this album truly is. One of the best listens from 2022, and just shows how amazing of a rapper Black Thought really is.
