Michael does not miss on this whole album, IMPECCABLE production all over the album. Catchy disco and soul songs, Michael's own written songs (Don't Stop Til' You Get Enough, Workin' Day & Night, and Get On The Floor) are amazing. This is just a collection of great songs and nothing more, the lowest point in my opinion is probably It's the Falling in Love. I love this era of Michael the most, definitely a must-listen.
This is a super showcase of The Beatles' pop songwriting mastery, only other album that could showcase that better is probably 1. Very beautiful soul pop songs with Norwegian Wood, Michelle, Girl, and In My Life. John SHINES on this album, strong Lennon-McCartney writing throughout the album. I love this Beatles album, in my opinion it is the best showcase for The Beatles sound overall. It's their most polished album, it shows off the strengths of the members songwriting. John's strong rockers, Paul's whimsical piano ballads, George's soul healing guitar tracks, and Ringo's joyful and singable Octopus's Garden.
