As someone who is not a seasoned black metal listener this shit is fire as hell. The atmosphere on this album is awesome sauce per prog fashion. It's like Pink Floyd, King Crimson, and Dio had a baby. One in a million ass album.
Excellent mix of all genres at play here. The thrash and punk drums, as well as the crust punk / death'n'roll guitar mix very well together. Truly a unique and special album.
This album is very good through and through, the only complaints I gave is I wish the lyrics were more inspired on some songs because some are very introspective like clairvoyant disease, I won't see you tonight part 2, and chapter four some leave a little to be desired. Otherwise else I have no complaints some of the best metalcore I have ever heard outside of BTBAM and Thornhill.
This is one of the best albums I have ever heard, with a great sound, theme, and overall tone. This is genuinely and incredible album. I have never seen the movie probably never will, but for a soundtrack this is amazing and is more proof that soul is one of the best genres ever.
