Some of y'all are hating unnecessarily like you do to every female artist that achieves success overnight... The album is far from being AOTY on my first listens but several songs on it are far better than the rest of the mainstream music right now. Do some songs sound generic? Yes some of them do. Is this album thematically cohesive? Absolutely, despite combining several genres all the songs have this bitter feeling to it, making justice to the album title.

I was not aware of who she was until a few months ago. After hearing Taylor I decided to go back to the first single of this album and I couldn't be more impressed. Since then I decided to give a listen to this project and I can't be more proud of my decision. PUTA is a meticulously crafted project, that flows from piano ballads to synth influenced songs. Overall, El Madrileño is a carefully crafted album with several influences from both, Tangana's own culture in Spain and the more mainstream sound that carried 2020 and now 2021. The production is rich and creative, showcasing his good taste when it comes to production choices. As every other album, this project has its ups and its lows, but I was quite surprised by how enjoyable the lows were this time around. Best spanish LP of 2021 so far, hands down.
