This is a very melodic, passionate and emotional LP. It's one of my favourite albums of all time. There's a lot of heart here clearly.
I love it.
Favourite Tracks: Bodys / Famous Prophets (Stars)
Least Favourite Track: Don't know
That's a lot of tones. Nuclear Fusion and Rattlesnake slap. I will say that Rattlesnake is better in live shows. Flying Microtonal Banana is a funky song. A lot of the album is very similar though. The first couple of times I listened to it, I could not remember a single song that wasn't Rattlesnake.
Favourite Track: Nuclear Fusion
Least Favourite Track: Open Water
It's alright. Definitely too long. The River and God is in the Rhythm are good for a while. But I felt that the songs did not have enough variation for how long they were.
Favourite Track: The River
Least Favourite Track: Lonely Steel Sheet Flyer
This album has great hits. As a whole it's nice, but not outstanding in any way. It's pretty much what you can expect from most MGMT albums. Fun, vibey and somewhere inbetween pop and psyche.
Favourite Tracks: Electric Feel, Kids, Time to Pretend
Least Favourite Track: Of Moons
Very very nice. When I first listened to this album it gave me the best groove. I really like the smooth transitions in the first half of the album, and the melancholic feel of the last four songs is great.
(Edit: Having listened to this album way more - I'm giving it a perfect 100. I can't name a single song I would ever skip.)
Favourite Tracks: Satan Speeds Up, Slow Jam 1
Least Favourite Tracks: None
