In my opinion, this is their deep-listening album. There is a tremendous amount of detail in these songs, and less of an emphasis on groove and more on texture. The sound palette on here is so strange too. It feels less robotic and computerized, and more organic and soft. I always come out of this record liking it, but I never like it as much when I'm actually listening to it. I still feel like I need to "get into" this album even though I've probably heard it 20 times. Overall an insane, alienating, enthralling, and pretty good album.
