“jackman.” gives a look into his thought process after his come-up. a much needed album in his catalog after “come home this kids miss you” being hit or miss, with this being his best true rap project by far. some of my favorite lyrics in music period, aswell as some sneaky smooth ass production. i do find the track “it can’t be” a bit corny tho, trying to prove that it’s not cus he’s white that he’s making it, it’s bc he works ... read more
“larger than life” is a smooth, consistent project from one of the most consistent artists of my era in my opinion, brent faiyaz. heavily 2000s inspired on this one, most he’s ever tapped into that sound so far in his career. but yet it still feels modern, almost to his detriment at times cus some songs stay in this weird middle ground mix of the eras that sometimes doesn’t work for me. no bad songs, almost no skips, and has a been a consistent album in the rotation ... read more
somehow nobody else on this website has made any sort of review so I’m down asf to be the first. seventh angelo or just angelo, constructed a mixtape of RnB and at times hyperpop sounding instrumentals, with rap and singing verses delivered in this calm, almost asmr whispery tone. he’s reportedly called it “angel music” which well corny, shit is definitely angelic. i don’t even know how to describe it, the producers he works with are just phenomenal man. but he ... read more
Found this project when I brought up the “Static Major guy from lollipop” to my dad. He put me on, and this “Playa” album did not disappoint by all means. Kind of a bland ass group name for an RnB group, and always thought they could’ve had a cooler, more clever alias. But this “Playa” LP has some of the melodies i’ve ever heard in music in general. These men were some generational talents and anything Static writing, IN ADDITION to timbo ... read more
“i got blacker” artist Jack Harlow gives us a deep dive into his life after his mainstream debut in 2020. When it first came out, quite frankly it never clicked w me. Until now, looking back there was some serious highs but serious low ass lows too. Wtf was First Class? yea you got that number one but at what cost Brian McWhite, what cost? “Like A Blade of Grass” and “Side Piece” are peak tho.
