Illmatic is the quintessential boom-bap album and an album I would recommend for new hip hop listeners as their first. Every song is very powerful, brilliant lyrics, vibrant boom-bap beats, and a concise track list that leaves nothing to be desired. Arguably the best hip hop album of all time.
