Friend loves this one and I've been putting off a relisten for a long time.
Very interesting indie rock album. It has the sound of something you wouldn't expect to be really remarkable at first glance, but they surprisingly do quite a bit with the sound. I like the weird time signatures they try out and the more hardcore and experimental songs. I also really like the singer's voice, and how he says some lyrics elevate the songs a lot for me. Decided to check this one out since I love The Mocking Stars so much. It's neat to see Lausse's debut EP and "chapter one" of the story. Overall, I think the story is a lot less interesting than The Mocking Stars, and the sound doesn't interest me as much. It's definitely an easier sound to get into, but it misses the amazing layering that Lausse later improves on. Still a good debut.
