Ginger is not their best album, but it is different and can be very enjoyable. The highlights on this album are among their best songs ever. But while I do enjoy many songs on here, I think this ends up being their least interesting album. It struggles to find an identity, and the track list is incredibly strange. While I think some members like Matt Champion have standout performances, some like Kevin fade into the background and don’t really have any standout moments. Regardless, it is still a very good album that is one of my favorites of the year.
