Laurel Hell is my first time listening to a full Mitski album, and it’s a really solid first impression.
I’ve heard great things about Mitski, so I was excited to listen to this. Also, I really enjoyed the singles for this album, so I was hoping I would enjoy the whole thing. And after listening a few times, I really like this. I’m not like blown away by it or anything, but the music here is just really well written and produced and there are quite a few highlights that really stand out to me. I definitely can see myself returning to this a lot, and I definitely want to check out her other work now.
