Trying to get into Mitski's discography!
I don't like this album that much. It's very short at like 26 minutes, and the first 2 tracks are great. Wife is my favorite song off this album, almost made me cry!
Mitski has an amazing voice too, and I love her display of vocal control this early on.
My main issue with this album really is its production. It's very off key sometimes, and some parts of these songs don't mesh with each other well and honestly make my head hurt a bit. Songs like Abbey, Brand New City, and Bag of Bones are some examples where this flaw shines through a lot, bogs down the album experience for me.
A lot of the album feels very monotonous too, it's just... yeah.
