wish i could be as laidback and carefree as this jawn. really liked the use of stereo sound throughout the whole album, and the production in general was consistently of quality, with only a few lapses here and there. honestly i think the singing would have been executed better if it was left mostly untouched with studio effects, but it’s still alright in its finished form anyway.

although it’s not the lowest ive ever rated an album- not by a long shot- i do feel very disappointed. not even a 😡 type of disappointment, but more of a 😢 kind. when the album first dropped i listened to a couple songs individually and really enjoyed them. turns out i got really lucky with the ones i picked, because the full experience did not live up to my expectations. unfortunately, rashad’s explicit mental issues lead to some pretty lackluster and seemingly effortless ... read more

ok first things first why is there a song called “discord kitten”. this is unforgivable. you cant make an album that isnt complete slop and then include that. anyways, its pretty good, especially for a debut. wide variety of electronic beats and tunes and beeps and boops. some of the vocals could definitely use some work, but hyperpop albums are always a mixed bag when it comes to that.
