Reminded me a lot of late 70s/ early 80s German ambient electronica. I was shocked and pleased when I saw this album has been gaining attention. At times "Ecstatic Computation" has many of the same vibes I get from listening to Edgar Froese or Peter Baumann. However it has many dark twists and turns that bring me into a totally different space. The harsh sampling, punchy piano, and ambient vocals mixed with the often noisy background is not for the faint of heart, but for those looking for a truly interesting alum this is the one.
As an avid listener of ambient electronic nothing in this album surprised me too much but it was a great fusion of experimental sounds, good use of synthesizers, with classic ambient flow.
