easily one of the best projects from CHH this year and I do not need to elaborate. it's crazy, all it takes is great production, an entertaining host, and great writing. Great sequencing and very replay-able
Favorite: HARD OUT HERE
There's just not a lot here to hold onto. Lots of underwhelming songs with star power. The sequencing is atrocious. Phew is able to shine in bursts but isn't consistently at his A-game. It feels very artificial and thrown together.
Favorites: Yet, White Tee, Aretha (Remix)
Least Favorite: All I Need (Remix), MOVE IT!
Half-baked at its worst and unapologetically unhinged at its best. Don't think this will stand the test of time like his other work. Some really great stuff on here.
Favorites: Starburst, Lift You Up, What You See
Least Favorites: Flowers, Green Light, Baby
purely aesthetic, don't think about it too much and you'll find some chill different vibes to enjoy. it's pretty neat
Christian music deserves better y'all. Poorly engineered, phoned in lyrics, shoddily thrown together, drags on, it's a remix that is worse than the original in every way and is made solely to capitalize on CCM hype. I'm disappointed and confused to say the least. The other WU3 singles have been amazing. What happened here...?
Really sluggish start, but once it picks up, it kicks into full gear. Lyrically on the nose and never quite as daring as the cover portrays, but there's moments where the sun peaks through the clouds. Production needs diversity, nothing abhorrent though. Thought-provoking, but not quite as daring as advertised
Favorite Songs: We Almost Broke Up Again, Nobody's Son, When Did You Get So Hot, House Tour
Least Favorite Songs: Manchild, My Man on Willpower, Sugar Talking
Writing is very spotty, but it's well produced and catchy! Features are all welcome and not phoned-in. Genuine bangers every now and then. Needed a lil more time to cook, but not bad! Creative and well-intentioned.
Favorites: Outsiiide, On 10!, Not My Job, Walk By Faith
Least Favorites: Everything Paid, My Friend
On Sick Wid It, Miles is kinda awkward, but F.A.B. saves it
Favorite: What I Look Like
Best CHH project of the year, bar none. Great rapping, great production, consciousness front and center, well paced and great contributions. Not all the tracks have my favorite sound but the whole thing is impressive and a breath of fresh air.
The confidence on this is immeasurable. It's light but it's nice and everyone came through.
I like all the tracks, this is one of the best albums of the year pretty easily. The rapping and production are phenomenal.
Favorite: God Bless The Cool Kids/'03 Jordan
Least Favorite: Ticket (Remix)
Jered Sanders stays in his lane for the best, and advocates for Christian art to be pushed forward. This is what I wanted from the Lecrae album. Production is a bit one-note but still solid. Extremely well rapped.
Favorites: Reconstruction, My Story, Bless You, Die For The Party, Headphones, Erase Me
Least Favorites: There for You, Holidaze, Mad at Today
Disappointed to say the least. Christian art needs to move forward and develop further and it's very telling. Well rapped and limited by all the other aspects. The best feature was Propaganda.
Favorite: Heavy Metal aka eject seato!
Least Favorite: gsw vs sac
Fresh project with high replay value. Incredible production, love the attitude and tone being set. Bit of a slow start but it immediately picks up.
Favorites: THUNDERRR & CASPER
Least Favorite: MONDAY
I really like this album and recognize that it's objectively better and more impressive than his previous works, but at times, I really feel like some of the concepts could've been developed further (tho part of that is due to me preferring the blunt authenticity of IDMTHY). The hip-hop influence is still present and showcased aplenty throughout, which I admire since it would be just as easy to turn his back on it all to make ... read more
Now we're cooking, this is more like Bizzle's older mixtapes. The production is more varied and Bizzle has finally found the balance between catchiness and writing overall, akin to his best older work. The sequencing is a lil imbalanced to where all the heavy hitting cuts are at the beginning. The filler cuts are a plenty but nothing is atrocious
Favorite: Way Up (G.O.M. Remix), Never Know, Got for Me
Least Favorite: Down Pt. 2
