This is an alright digital hardcore album, but I feel like I've heard this type of sound before in every synth punk/digital hardcore album I've listened to, and it's just nothing too special for me. What I do want to point out though is that the harsh vocals were REALLY good, I absolutely loved them, but this sort of fully digital production just isn't my thing. It's not really memorable as there's so much going on, and it just sounds too digital if that makes ... read more
All I can say is that the production is unsurprisingly amazing. The production brings together all these tracks which are so different, by different artists, with different vocalists, and even different genres so well to the point that it just sounds so Pigface? You can tell these are Pigface songs because of the production, and it also brings together the entire album to the point that a rap song, an industrial song, a gothic rock song, and some sort of generic-sounding "religious" ... read more
Every couple of months I finally decide to listen to yet another DJ? Acucrack album, and honestly, I'm excited every time I do (even knowing that this music isn't anything super good most of the time, and the albums are LONG). However, I was once again somewhat disappointed. This release suffers from the same problems as nearly all other DJ? Acucrack albums, and that being the fact that the songs just don't have many interesting things going on. This is especially bad considering ... read more
This release of course has its iconic songs: "Невеста" and "Ненавижу", but a lot of the other songs are just alright. The last few are especially boring.
I've seen this album around before since it was released under Wax Trax!, but never checked it out, because these aren't genres I'd typically enjoy much. However, this was surprisingly such a pleasant listen regardless of its length. The songs are all quite long, but the repetition works well and doesn't feel annoying, even in Mmm Skyscraper I Love You (which unexpectedly was also one of my favorites on here). Just a great album overall, and maybe a sign for me to listen to ... read more
Same as always, incredible music that kinda sounds all the same. This album is a collection of tracks recorded by the members of Czar from 2013-2020, and it all still sounds really cohesive, I loved this album and I'd definitely revisit it. All Czar releases are honestly great, I love the really dark atmospheres they have, the instrumentation is nothing too special but it still sounds amazing, and the vocals... I love Jason Novak's vocals on any Cracknation release, but on Czar ... read more
Really fucking cool album, but the first few songs aren't all that interesting. However, the last 4 songs are amazing, I love how noisy they are.
YES a heavy metal version of She's So Heavy is peak! As with all Czar releases I have the same comment, it's good music but it gets repetitive very fast. However, as always, I enjoyed it, especially because there's something about Jason Novak's vocals on Czar releases, they're just incredible.
I liked that this album's sound wasn't too repetitive so the whole experience didn't feel burdensome to listen to. I honestly really appreciate how none of Nocturne's three albums sound very similar to one another, this one leans more into a metal sound that doesn't have as heavy and dark sounding guitars as Welcome To Paradise. As well, as I always say, the true highlight of Nocturne's music are the vocals, and on this album they're probably better than on ... read more
In the best way possible, this doesn't sound like it's from 2016. I LOVE the sound this album has, it still has that unpolished electro-industrial sound, which I wouldn't expect from an album that came out at that point, and it even reminds me of db9d9 and Sister Machine Gun in a way. Even though this album doesn't do anything new for the genre, it's just quality industrial which is enough for me to really enjoy it. However, it fell off by the end, the first half was ... read more
I love listening to 3 Electric Molecular remixes in a row especially when each one is worse than the previous (Electric Molecular is such a good song though so it doesn't matter cuz the remixes are still not even that bad)!! Also I could not hear any difference between the Jesus Christ Porno Star remix on here and the original song. Anyways, cool compilation, I don't think there's anything Chemlab could make that would be bad. I love you Jared Chemlab 😍😍😍
I mean 10 Ton Pressure is what saves this EP, but honestly the remixes were pretty good other than Chemical Halo (Drag-Strip Download). 21st Century is also such a great song, I adore the guitar on it, I wish it had an actual release other than the demo on here.
I really enjoyed this album, it had abrasive industrial instrumentation paired with some really damn good vocals. As well, even though the instrumentation was purely electronic for the most part, it didn't sound too smooth/polished which is great, as that's a problem I have with a lot of newer industrial.
Cool Russian pop rock album, I've always liked Мумий тролль, pretty cool band and especially their vocalist's voice. There are some boring songs on here, especially at the end, but at the same time there's amazing stuff like Морская капуста and Доброе утро, планета!.
There's a lot of experimentation on this album that makes it an interesting listen, however, these moments are few and far between. The songs generally just sound flat which is what I expected, but whenever there was something interesting going on, the flatness of it all didn't really matter. That's why I gave some of these songs such low scores in comparison to others, because the experimentation made a huge difference. As well, the last song was incredible, I didn't expect ... read more
