I physically cannot give this a higher rating. This is just a worse rerecording (reimagining, allegedly) of a much better album. I can't imagine anyone choosing this over the original. Who is this for?
Slept on.
Sling sees Clairo's matured lyrical ability shine, with stripped back, floaty production. I really admire her for taking her sound in a completely different direction, rather than conforming to what most expected. This album took a few years to grow on me but I really appreciate it now!

Immunity feels dedicated to all the lonely sapphics of America. It's packed full of wistful, longing lyrics; they're melancholic, but more so nostalgic, reflective. It's structured like collected thoughts right before falling asleep. This is furthered by the mixing in of child choir vocals.
This album is sonicly all over, ranging from conventional soft rock, to lo-fi, to autotuned trap. Some would call this a flaw but I see it as making peace with bedroom pop, opening the door ... read more
diary 001 is primarily a collection of singles. Most of its heavy hitters had been around for a while and achieved viral success before its compilation. The additional tracks feel more like concepts rather than fully developed songs. However, there's something about this EP that keeps us coming back.
Despite making up a relatively small part of her discography, the phantom of this era continued to haunt Clairo. It makes of many of her most listened to songs, a whole 7-8 years later. ... read more
Like many people, my introduction to Jim Noir was from the opening track on this album, My Patch. It was a part of the soundtrack of my favourite video game, Little Big Planet. I distinctly remember being 7 years old and replying it over and over in My Moon just to jam out.
16 years later, I'm finally checking out this album in full. Tower Of Love is phenomenal, a real hidden gem. It seemlessly blends indie rock with an echoey 60s sound. Will be returning to this very soon!

I prefer the live versions of a lot of these tracks on Mint Jams but man, what an energy.
Random anecdote: not quite my first experience with these studio versions. Years ago I used to play this shitty little online social game called Avakin Life which allowed you to pick an online radio station for your house. Anyways, naturally I picked Casiopea 24/7. Good, good shit.

Has anyone actually listened to this?
Because it's pretty good! It's a funky little instrumental rock piece from Brazil. On the project's Bandcamp, Rosa described it as tracks for surf and skateboarding movies and the surf rock influence is clear, diving into a heavier, distorted sound by the final track. Good stuff!
However, that's not why you've heard of this EP. It finds itself in a similar position to the student films on Letterboxd which happen to share a title ... read more
