Mobb Deep - Survival of the Fittest
100

This might be one of my most replayed songs of all time. Perfect beat, insanely catchy, so dark and gritty. Prodigy needs to be talked about more in the best primes of rappers. One verse from the guy paints the vividest picture of the streets I've ever heard.

Benny the Butcher - Tana Talk 3
90

This was my first album from Benny and anything from Griselda, I'm very impressed.

Haven't wrote a long review before, so I'm going to write my first one about this album.

Intro: Babs puts you on to exactly what you're going to get from this project: Grimy and very real street imagery, it also features a nice ending segment from Keisha Plum. Benny's flow and lyrical content is some of the best on the album, I wish his verse was a little bit longer though.

Lil Tecca - We Love You Tecca
70

Pretty fun tape. I've been listening to/already heard the songs on this mixtape back in 2019, and relistening now, they still hold up well. It gets repetitive and dry at some points like Phenom, The Score, and Molly Girl, but the rest of the tape is pretty consistently good. His best song, Bossanova, is also on here, along with some of his other best songs like Ransom, Did It Again, Shots, etc.

Lil Tecca - DOPAMINE
32

Really boring, I don't understand why this is rated so highly compared to Tecca's other work.

Lil Uzi Vert - Eternal Atake 2
14

This shit is what solidified the Uzi falloff for me. Uzi was already going downhill with Eternal Atake and Pink Tape but this album is straight up abysmal. Horrific record.

Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs
90

Don't got much to say for this. It's Earl's best album for sure.

Conway the Machine - G.O.A.T.
92

Easily his best project. Criminally underrated.

Benny the Butcher - Burden of Proof
86

Amazing record from Benny, the beats on here all hit. Benny doesn't even have a mid verse on here.

Big L - Put It On
100

One of the best rapping performances in the 90s.

Metro Boomin - Metro Boomin Presents: A Futuristic Summa
9

Metro tries to bring back Young Money era swag but ends up sounding like he's trying to recreate LIKE WEEZY for 24 songs instead.

PARTYNEXTDOOR - $ome $exy $ongs 4 U
12

The worst Drake project I've ever laid my ears on.

Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo 2
84

Not on the level of the OG, A little bit better than his 2024 release but with higher highs. Great project with amazing beats and quotables, I just wish Freddie just switched up the flow a lil more and did more introspective cuts like Ensalada.

Also, Larry June didn't need to be here at all.

Drake - Which One
5

Might be bottom 5 Drake.

Same beat switches, same subject matter, no sound innovation , and a boring feature from Central Cee.

Hope Iceman is the retirement album.

Eminem - The Slim Shady LP
100

The fact that this album isn't a must hear is crazy to me.

Eminem - Role Model
100

The best Eminem song.

Raekwon - The Emperor's New Clothes
82

Holy shit this is amazing.

Freddie Gibbs - 1995
100

Beautiful single, the second part solidifies it as better than '85 for me.

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
96

This album gets better every listen.

Clipse - So Be It
100

This song makes me float
