Really Brief Review:
Now, this is what I was expecting to hear from Sampha. While I did like Lahai, there's something about some standard R&B that just feels good. It either makes you feel like you're driving in the streets late at night or makes you feel like you're ascending to heaven. For me, it feels like both. The production is so smooth yet kind of sad. Tracks like Blood On Me and No One Knows Me are tracks that fit that whole vibe. They are simple but really beautiful. And, of course, Samphas vocals are gorgeous throughout the entire album. I think they somehow stand out more on this album than on Lahai, which is pretty surprising. Overall, Process is just a great R&B album and is what I expected to hear from Sampha.
