There are two aspects of this album that I think really drive the good and the bad. First, I really do like the instrumentals here. Despite the repetitiveness of some sections on "Hit My Head All Day", "Evil Evil Idiot", and "I Need You", I never true felt bored by the simplicity of the tracks. it's a pop girl album, yes it has bops, yes wood is funny as hell, but greed drags this so far down it's embarassing
It's definitely not as strong of a project as the Maybe Man, BUT I'm glad that AJR is growing as a group and developing this folkier sound.
