FKA twigs - EUSEXUA
92

I have waited for fka twigs to actually build on her incredibile talent, that in my opinion got lost in excessively complicated production in previous records. This one is incredibly good. It's only just started but for sure Room of Fools and Sticky will be in my top 10 songs of the year. Some songs are a bit predictable but overall you wouldn't skip them in the context of the record.

SANTI FRANCESI - POTREBBE NON AVERE PESO
75

Complessivamente un EP che si fa ascoltare, ma ho aspettative più alte.

Coldplay - Moon Music
62

It's so infuriating to know their potential and having to listen to this generic record with maybe only a single good song in it.

RÜFÜS DU SOL - Inhale / Exhale
74

Some tracks are great, such as Lately, Breathe and Pressure, but the others just feel a bit generic. It still a good listen when you want something in the background, but it's not an astonishing record unfortunately.

Linkin Park - From Zero
78

I was very skeptical about this album judging by the singles, and some of my fears were actually true. Most of the songs on the record are not new ideas, but tend to go more into the nostalgic approach, which is understandable, and it wouldn't even be a problem if it was done with proper songwriting.
That being said, if you interpret the album as a series of singles, I think the level is good enough to be a Linkin Park record. I have to say that I was surprised by how intense some songs ... read more

SOPHIE - SOPHIE
78

I honestly liked this record especially in the second part. She was a visionary artists and will be forever missed.

Jamie xx - In Waves
95

Another incredible record by an incredible artist. He managed to outline everything he ever produced in his career, enhanced it and added new ideas. Dafodil is the only track I don't adore completely, but it's still a very, very good song.

Linkin Park - The Emptiness Machine
78

This a typical Linkin Park song, therefore it's great listen. The rating is not higher cause I don't agree with the idea of keeping the same name of the band. I fully agree that it is a start "From Zero", I just don't believe that this new thing need to be called Linkin Park anymore. Since it's a new start, they might as well start from zero for real. I understand that it's easier for marketing purposes, concert tracklist and target audience, but this is not ... read more

The Dare - What's Wrong With New York?
80

This was one of the most difficult records to rate for me this year. Though I won't be remembering any songs two hours after listening to it, I would still be shazamming for the songs ID if I heard it in a club. This kid knows how to produce a good song, but the monotone singing really makes it impossible to create a character to each song. A shame, cause with proper singing (and songs that last more than 2.30 min on average) it could've been even better.

Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk
97

This album is clearly one of the best produced of the year. You think you know where every track is going, and they just surprise you with a strange but so interesting way of producing. Vocals are insane, the concept is good (if it was maybe discussed a bit better, it would've been a perfect score), the songs each have character and can be identified easily. Really great work, they did not disappoint.

Best songs: Image, Death & Romance, That's My Floor, Cry for Me
Worst: NONE!!

Beyoncé - COWBOY CARTER
81

Some songs are perfect, but it's way too long and I think some parts of the record would've benefited with a separate release. Overall it's a good act II

Imagine Dragons - LOOM
46

Kid is the only good song in this record. The rest could not exist as far as I'm concerned

Camila Cabello - C,XOXO
60

If it wasn't produced with the idea of copying someone else in the industry and display it so blatantly, it would even be an acceptable record. Some songs are actually good but too many interludes that don't lead to anything.

Charli xcx - BRAT
100

A really solid work. Love the production and I was honestly surprised by the writing and the sincerity she displayed through some songs. It's nowhere near how I'm feeling now, but it's tied as her second best album with Crash. A. G. Cook really served on this one!

Edit: changed the rating to 100 because it's become too iconic.

Angelina Mango - poké melodrama
78

Jamie xx - In Colour
100

This record basically changed the way I intended music. A must listen work.

James Blake - Playing Robots into Heaven
79

Some tracks are absolutely perfect, but at times it's just too overproduced. Still a great effort

James Blake - Assume Form
92

Honestly he peaked here

DON BROCO - Technology
85

A work with so many layers, original and very unique. Also, some tracks are very very addictive

YONAKA - Welcome To My House
75

I hope they don't plateau to just generic music, cause they could be much more original
