okay this is a big one I have a lot to say.
its a bit like pinkpantheress' 'fancy that'. part of the excellence of the original album was actually that it was so 'neat' and self contained. the branding of it, the short track list, a package deal. something about making the remix album (or in this case just a remake) cheapens both the remake but also the original album. it makes it a product rather than a genuine piece of art.

first heard 'i wear a shirt that says australia' and really enjoyed the lyricism on it. just quite human really. the line 'i wear a shirt that says australia so people know i'm not from here' just tickled me. also 'i grow out and cut my hair again' and 'they'd say shot richard lovely passing shot' i liked for some reason. on that not they have a couple songs mentioning said richard i wonder who this man is.

as mentioned previously ive been LOVING a live album recently and this was no exception!! its very classically mj lenderman (which i love ofc) but jazzed up a bit as they say. feeling so spoilt for great live albums !!
the pedal steel throughout this album (and really most of his and wednesday's music) is gorgeous. those little melty licks and twiddles make it feel so full and warm. cool contrast to the noisy guitars especially on songs like ... read more
