I'll start by saying this: greatest album of all time, after 3 years and six albums, it seems like The Beatles took a ride I'm clearly going to enjoy.
By slightly quitting the family-friendly pop-rocky type of music, this album signs the start of the group's change of direction by going sometimes psychedelic.
Love You To and Tomorrow Never Knows are the ones that lead the most towards this direction and are my personal favourites, loved the lyrics and electric guitar on taxman, ... read more
Starts off real strong with the intro and bye that I really appreciate and thinks it’s a sound she should get closer too, immediately catchy (yes very pop-y but that’s not a bad thing).
I think it doesn’t miss that much up until the ninth track (which for a 13 tracks 36 minutes long album is not bad).
Maybe it’s just me but the 10th track «we can’t be friends » is so 2010’s radio pop coded a time I don’t want to come back any ... read more
WHAT A PLEASURE!
A genre that never occurred to my likes or touched my soul in any ways,
But what a pleasure to discover it that way!
First we start with this end 60’s 70’s Americana/folk/gospel/rock mix of genre that is for sure one of my favorite openers for an LP and set the bar for the album very HIGHLY.
Then a beautiful rendition of Blackbird that gets so much more meaningful with the 4 other black singers.
The album transports you to a pure joy full of references, activism ... read more
Just discovered this group and the story behind this album and I Didn’t know there was such cutthroat female grunge artists in the 90’s, feels good to discover that in these times they were already women crushing man-oriented thoughts.
Overall, loved the harsh lyrics and honesty. A bit simple and unoriginal on the production side, but anyway that’s not what I’m seeking in Grunge/alt Rock.
A breath of fresh air, every song has its own particular songs/lyrics/production that appeals to the ear.
Wished that as a group I could hear more singularities. But this doesn't change the quality of their sounds just make them more reliable commercially.
Way better production and flow on this one
(Still trigerred by that its not called Claude 2 Scarlet since it starts before Scarlet but maybe its something im missing)
What doja does best is in this Little no called deluxe version
A party that never stops, what a cool concept to make a RENAISSANCE to all these iconic clubbing house 90’s typo song.
Very enjoyable, clear view and concise album
Some afrobeat felt outdated a little bit especially
Will do a further review later
What a joy to discover this artist with this album, thank god I gave this album a chance, what a relief!!
Everything is so polished and perfectly imperfect,
She got a unique sound I Loves how she plays with her instruments (voice)
Very recognizable and special way to enunciate and sing words
Love all the onomatopoeia that are so unique to her
Welcome to my island is a banger of opener as she invites you in this one of a kind world
What a choose of instruments!! So refreshing!

Maybe biased because i started with Desire first.
Still a f great album well produced and so unique by her ways of singing.
At times felt déjà vu maybe because I was so amazed by her second album first and I was craving DIWTIY quality of work.
Always feels quite scary to listen to must hear album that have more than 20 years,
Some of them gets old and the so what called « classic » comes out pretty dated and used by everyone,
Well Bjork’s Post is not the case, surprised how on every chance i have to hear from her she comes differently,
In this album i find places that some current music artists are using today (La Femme for example on the trip side) but Björk does it in a so special way with her ... read more
Been to the tour 2 times, it’s amazing how she perfectly planned and then recorded this tour, every piece of work well explained from the dressing to the vocal training, everything was pointed perfection and Beyonce and her team transcribed it so well.
Although some backstage felt quite taking long and cutting the awaiting audience that wanted to sing in the theater.
