Garbage

I hadn't listened to literally a single Garbage track before this, so for this to be rated so highly is a HUGE surprise for me- but hot damn this record just kicks so much ass. For starters, Shirley Manson's vocals are absolutely phenomenal- suiting the eclectic alt-grunge-dance-noise sound of the record to a T and giving the record such a unique sonic identity. Tracks like Stupid Girl, the opener, Only Happy When It Rains, and Not My Idea sonically punch and sparkle so strongly, with such immediately palpable choruses to boot. I could see this becoming a 100 for me on repeated listens methinks, wowza
