This is peak.
I thought I should check out the original work, before listening to the repented Version they gonna release this Summer and man this is some great stuff. Only thing that really didn't do it for me are the fairly bad lyrics, they even made me cringe a little at certain points. But damn the guitar work is really great on this one (shout-out to the goat Lee Malia), even though the riffs sound pretty similar, but one very good Riff changed up a little still produces multiple good ... read more

Setting different nuances.
After they incorporated the pop/rock sound a lot on their last album, they slowed down on this one and made a fairly more relaxed record, while using a lot of the Rockabilly sound. For me it was an ok album, had some highs, had some lows, but overall very listenable. Worth checking out in my opinion.

Interesting.
Their use of microtonality & prog time signatures combined with their rock sound makes this record really interesting. Even though it's not my favorite Genre I can definitely say that this one was a nice listen.

Gojira - The Way of All Flesh

This one is astonishing.
It's hard for any musician to make one phenomenal record in their lifetime. But two? And in a row? That's some crazy shit ngl. But goddamn, Gojira managed to make this happen. They managed to keep the same quality in Lyricism and their songwriting overall and their last 17 minutes Track "The way of all flesh" goes far beyond commercial music. This is understandably a must hear!

This is epic.
I normally don't like this power-metalish/happy metal sound, but this one was actually really good. I felt like I was on a crusade the whole time, even though the message of the album mostly doesn't fit that feeling. Overall I can recommend it.
