Goes hard as hell, less focused than her subsequent album but its nice to go back and see how original / creative she is as a DJ/producer and musician
A love-bomb of early 2000s nostalgia for those who have been enmeshed with the internet and technology all their lives. Incredibly bombastic, charged with erratic synths that create an elevated experience out of familiar noises for those in internet-adjacent music scenes.
Liked this project a lot. While at times it can be a bit lyrically heavy handed, the delivery, tone, and atmosphere is wonderful. Maintains a wonderful rhythm whilst not compromising with its spoken-word backbone.
What a joy to have new Boards of Canada! This hit all of the notes I wanted it to, with odd vocal samples and buzzing synth melodies over downtempo beats.
FAV TRACKS: Naraka, Into the Magic Land, Arena Americanada
It's on the good end of mediocre. Pretty par for the course in terms of a jack antonoff produced record. I still don't think the luster has been there since 2014.
A very wonderful jazz album with some high highs. Both musicians have better work, but this is a nice casual meeting of the minds that anyone who appreciates them can dig.
This production is ridiculous and the bars + flow are there. I'm unfamiliar with this artist but the unique and personal lyrical content struck a chord with me.
Man, in a time when I'm really into shoegaze and dreampop, I found myself very happy to listen to this record. Everything just seems to coast so well together. Such a nice wall of fuzz
This was absolutely unreal. Took me a while to finally listen but holy smokes this may be the best album of the year, period. Aaron Turner went absolutely wild on vocals, great replacement for Kelly.
my GOAT is back at it again
love the pluggnb influence on the beats. the record stays consistent with LUCKI's last releases, and I'd say it was focused on elevating the quality of songs he is making in this lane.

One of the best and most depressing albums I've ever heard, whose distortion and mythos will stick with me forever.
Nine Victims back at it again
I liked Clock It, Vivienne Westwood, and the closing track Blowing Emotions the most. I like these weird instrumentals usually but these are lowkey grating
Bloated album, 23 songs and I saved 3
SAY WHAT?!?!?
Gave this album a listen, the opening track "Everything I've Ever Wanted" really gripped me and set the tone for the whole album. While not as electronically explorative as her contemporaries in hyperpop, her lyricism and heavy lean into electropop serve the record very well and set her apart. The synths create wonderful poppy melodies, expanding and contracting to create tension that goes to accentuate the anxious-avoidant lyrical themes about identity and insecurity.
Honestly, I've never been a huge fan of The Academy Is... , or any of the other old FBR bands. However, when I listened to their older tracks I could feel authenticity, bite, and energy. I get none of that from this. It isn't bad music, but it isn't good. Just kind of hollow
Saw some social media posts from this band, saw this on the Under the Radar section, figured I'd check it out. I was not disappointed. For something tagged as "mall screamo" this has a lot of musical depth and integrity. Visceral vocals and in-your face guitar dominates the first half, as it fades into an emotional denouement. Can't wait to hear more from this group. Thanks Ephyra
Forgot to give this a rating when it first came out, but this was an incredibly impactful record from Converge. I felt the back half was incredibly strong on this record. This is straightforward metalcore, and some of the hardest shit I've heard in a minute.
