I did really like Stick Season so I was excited for this album. But it left a really sour taste in my mouth. Noah alternates back and forth between self-hatred and victimhood, which left me unsettled and feeling sketchy. He also had this weird, drunken, off kilter delivery to his lines that was, TO ME, incredibly irritating to listen to. Nothing on the album was actively bad, in fact it was pretty much all good, but the energy was just consistent in the way that doesn't keep your attention for the long term.
Less of the historicao sound from the first 2 albums but pushing the envelope a lot more with the heavy elements, yet another no skip
I saw someone describe this as an excellent proof 9f concept album and I can't agree more, one of the best experimental debuts of all time.
