Still cannot believe she is gone. OIL is one of my favorite albums of all time and from a musical standpoint, it is near perfect. This album is as sharp and abrasive as it is warm and brooding. SOPHIE uses synthesizers in a way no one else has to create hyper-textured sounds that genuinely feel otherworldly. She has shaped Pop music forever and she will be greatly missed. RIP SOPHIE
Tyler the Creator's IGOR, a follow up to 2017's Grammy-nominated Flower Boy, is an oddly beautiful masterpiece, full of beautiful instrumentals and vocals, mixing multiple genres to create something completely unique, the likes of which I have never heard before. The opening track, IGOR'S Theme, is an oddly beautiful mix of synth, drums, bass, and electric guitar, giving the listener an insight into the remainder of the album.
