Scrapped review: My opinion has changed so much

40 < 91

This review may piss some people off…

Chapter 1: Introduction

Here are a few things I would like to preface:
1. This not a joke, troll, ragebait, or whatever
2. Read the review before posting some bullshit
3. This is just my fucking opinion, I know its not popular
4. If you don’t like the review give a constructive critique, don’t just be annoying

Onto the review…

I woke up and chose violence. I figured I ... read more

Slayyyter - WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA
NR

this shit is super solid. Seven out of 10 album

slayr - Half Blood (BloodLuxe)
NR

Bloodluxe has been non-stop in my rotation since the week it dropped. I was unfamiliar with slayr's music prior to the bloodluxe release, now I can't stop listening to this album. Songs like Brain Fog and Toxic are 10/10 songs and are most likely to show up at the top of my monthly replay. I've also enjoyed his run of making music with streamers like Dabo and plaqueboymax, seeing his creative process. The beats on this record are pretty fucking sick all around and slayr has some ... read more

Harry Styles - Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.
NR

offensively mediocre, really what one would expect from a full length album from Harry Styles

공중도둑 [Mid-Air Thief] - 무너지기 [Crumbling]
NR

Wow...

I just listened to this album just now and have been shocked, taken aback - in the best way possible. I don't given 100s based on first listen, but I just have the feeling - a feeling of great appreciation and wonder - similar to my first listen to 98.12.28 男達の別れ, or even to an extent my first listen to A Promise by Xiu Xiu. Crumbling is such a remarkable record with, absolutely mesmerizing, fantastic instrumentation, incredible vocals, and a nearly unmatched soundscape.

the sidepeices - darklight
NR

fl studio designer shoes is the best thing I've heard since the year turned 26

Darklight is the 4th collaboration from the musician duo the sidepieces which consists of stickerbush and heavensoles. I discovered this group with their release of 2025’s dark skin n’s with lightskin problems, a flip on the title of their first 2024 collaboration lightskin n’s with darkskin problems. I was drawn to DNWLP with the first song back in action. I loved the soul chops and synths as ... read more

Charli xcx - BRAT
NR

It's wild to think that this album dropped almost 2 years ago considering I remember its release and brat summer like it was yesterday…

I had been unfamiliar with charli’s music prior, but quickly enjoyed this record strongly. The fun club-style beats were electric and enticing, the vocal performances were solid throughout, and the hooks on many of these songs were instantly memorable. Songs like: Sympathy is a knife, 360, Von Dutch, Talk Talk, and Club Classics are some of ... read more

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl
NR

The prayers have finally been answered, she’s working with other producers!

Paint the picture…

The day is August 13th. A beautiful, beautiful day (maybe not, I don’t remember), I thought it couldn’t be better, but that’s when I hear the announcement from the Queen of all music across 𝐀𝐋𝐋 genres, Taylor Swift. My 16th rating is finally unlocked, after creating my account on the website AOTY to give every single Taylor Swift album a 100/100. Then I saw ... read more

JID - God Does Like Ugly
NR

God Does Like Ugly is the 4th album from Atlanta-based rapper JID. This album has been a very highly anticipated one with it being a follow-up to the incredible The Forever Story in 2022. While most people don’t expect anything on that level due to how generational that album was. This makes it a very interesting predicament of wanting to constantly improve and having to live up to one of the best rap and general albums of the decade. Now it's up to JID to make the body of work to ... read more

The Lonely Island - Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping
NR

this movie's soundtrack is definitely its strongest point and the Mona Lisa is indeed an overrated piece of shit

JACKBOYS - JACKBOYS 2
NR

Where can I start with this hunk of shit

The production on this album is a complete mess just some boring ass trap slop on most instrumentals which sound ai generated with the music from the last 5ish years. Next we can talk about the laughable rapping performances from Travis Scott and all the terrible features aside from Waka Flocka Flame who was the only decent thing this load of dogshit had to give us. The writing on here also sounds like some fucking ai generated slop shitfeast with ... read more

Geordie Greep - The New Sound
NR

This album is one I had been meaning to give a listen to since the time this album dropped on October 4th but I then decided to give a listen to “NO TITLE AS OF 13 FEBRUARY 2024 28,340 DEAD” by GY!BE instead of this album. Since then on several occasions I have tried to give this a listen but stopping after the first track "Blues" every single time because of me always picking the worst time to try to start this album. I had also been very busy with listening to other ... read more

Fishmans - LONG SEASON
NR

The uniqueness of LONG SEASON is the composition of this album. This is with the looping on the album. This is with a long season consisting mostly of a very complicated interesting-rhythmically piano arpeggio. This plays throughout most of the album with it occasionally being replaced every now and then. The thing that makes this so interesting is with the album being 35 minutes. The way this arpeggio plays feels so hypnotic, effortless, and somehow not stagnant throughout the repetitive ... read more

Geese - Getting Killed
NR

Getting Killed by Geese doesn’t sound like an ideal way to be taken out

..

Quick reviews that I feel like writing which I didn’t feel like posting on my main account vol. 3…

(I wrote this review when the album dropped, just never posted it)

Disclaimer: I’m probably not the best person to get a very informed/well-rounded perspective from Geese. I have only listened to 2/3 of the albums from the band over the past two days in preparation for Getting ... read more

leroy - dariacore

Leroy that was fucking terrible…

Quick reviews that I feel like writing which I didn’t feel like posting on my main account vol. 2…

Dariacore by leroy is a side-project by artist Jane Remover. Dariacore released May 14, 2021 under No Label, is an interesting and subversive amalgamation of: Dariacore Hyperpop, Future Bass, Trap, Nightcore, and Digicore. The album is only able to be heard on youtube playlists or Soundcloud which is where I typically listen to the LP, the ... read more

kmoe - K1
NR

Quick reviews that I feel like writing which I didn’t feel like posting on my main account vol. 1…

K1 is a record that I have been listening to several times recently. The reason for this is I’m seeing Quadeca and since kmoe is one of the openers to the show, also I have heard quite high praise for this record.

The first time I recall listening was when I was bored out of my fucking mind in history class. I threw on this record and was instantly captivated by the first ... read more

Swans - Birthing
NR

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗜𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗢𝗙 𝗔 𝗦𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗦 𝗘𝗥𝗔...

The experimental rock outfit Swans have finally (pun intended) delivered their 2025 album Birthing, with this release coming a little less than 2 years ago with their release of The Beggar. Birthing is an album which has been a very anticipated release this year with me having this album marked on my mental calendar since the release date was officially announced. The anticipation was heightened for me with ... read more
