Is this Kanye's best album? No. Is this a perfect album? No. Did it somehow manage to take a place in my heart and is now forever one of the most important albums in my life? Yeah.
Although i don't feel it has that special place in my heart like graduation (might change idk), it's still an amazing and really fun (and funny) album. For a debut album, it's really masterfully crafted, full of passion and unique humor (srsly i couldn't stop smiling during the new workout plan). mm food is fun, like pure silly fun. At first i was first taken off guard by the sillier parts and bars of the album but you soon learn to love them. The production is insane and it's amazing how the movie clips fit with the beats. I will admit that the story told through the second halfs of the songs was confusing at first but later i found them really charming. Just a silly album about metal masks, supervillians, life while being black, nerd stuff and food

If i had to describe this album with 1 word it would be melancholy.
This whole album shouts that feeling, going through a journey of heartbreak and healing, always reminising of a relationship that once was but isnt anymore. The albums flows really well through what i'd describe to be the transition from the grief stage of depression to acceptance. It reflects this journey really well with the somber realization that it's now over, always staying somber but in different ways. The ... read more
