A far cry from MGMT’s other works, but this album is unique and extremely forward thinking. It was ahead of its time, and holds up extremely well in 2025.

Really cool stuff here and a ton of unique sounds that stretch the idea of what pop music is.

FAVORITE TRACKS: Time To Pretend, Electric Feel, Kids, The Handshake

LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS: The Youth, Pieces of What

A perfect conceptual album that executes its purpose extremely well. The instrumentation and lush atmosphere creates a project that sounds exactly like its concept intended it to. The mixing is great, the vocal effects are stunning, and every single song on here is unique and beautiful in its own right.

Really innovative stuff here. The more experimental tracks on here tend to work out very well, but we still keep some of those melodic elements that were on The Forever Story. This album is extremely innovative and forward thinking, and JID’s rapping leaves nothing on the table. There are some nitpicks, but overall a very good project.

FAVORITE TRACKS: Of Blue, Glory, Sk8

LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS: YouUgly, Gz
