The first album in over a decade to bring tears to my eyes.
An hour-and-a-half-long, throat-shredding punch in the stomach, replete with some of the most jaw-dropping instrumental skill I’ve ever had the privilege of hearing, that imparts a heartbreaking tale of cycles of abuse, of self-hatred and redemption, and of rebuilding oneself and learning to love oneself and others again.
To be enjoyed (and possibly cried to) in album order for the full experience.
I was introduced to Little Big and Funeral Rave through the music video for Hateful Love, had a miniature obsession phase with this album in my early teens and I look back fondly at how much fun I had with Big Dick, Brighton Beach and Dead Unicorn, and I continue to enjoy these three tracks whenever I remember this album.
Incredible variety in genre, yet no dips in production value whatsoever. Highly recommended to anyone with an interest in hearing many different inflections of EDM.
The violin section of the title track hits like a fucking freight train.
A wonderfully relaxing and therapeutic collection of low-fidelity goodness.
I have completely lost count of how many times I've listened to this album since 2016, good fucking god.
I blame this album for keeping my obsessive FNAF hyperfixation going for as long as it did.
The best project TryHardNinja has ever produced, and that's taking his viral Minecraft songs into account.
