Such a refreshing listen! Top tier rapping over top tier beats, and personally it didn't get boring. J. Cole experiments with multiple different styles of rap on this album, but thematically it still flowed as a cohesive body of work. This is a must listen album of the 2020s already. I have a LOT of songs off of this record saved, but my personal favorites are probably I Love Her Again, Only You, Legacy, and The Fall-Off Is Inevitable.
Awesome album to just vibe out to ngl, no misses and tracks were sufficiently sonically different and I loved the way that loopcinema experimented with breaking past the standards of music and just having fun. Sounded like a blast to make! Favorite songs are My-Lovely-Little-Flamingo, Two-Lover Cinema, and Honey.
THIS is what I imagine when I imagine conscious hip-hop today. This album touches on topics ever-prevalent in our society, I loved the message in "bug killers baby" and with the last three tracks as well. There wasn't really a sonically boring moment on the album either, and each track brought its own to the table in order to create something that works well as a body of work. Even the title itself, "work of artist I love you" reflects a sentiment that I find to be ... read more
First cloud rap album I've really listened to, this was definitely a fun listen! Favorite songs were dreamer, drop, and better. Songs sounded fairly samey and there were some parts where I thought the listening experience would improve with different drums, but I definitely see the sound that the artist was going for and think that that sound was largely achieved. Writing didn't really stand out to me either on most tracks, but I honestly think that for an album of this genre, that ... read more
great flow and amazing beats, pretty much every song got my head bopping while listening to this so I can't complain! favorite songs are the title track, Star Watching, Dead Presidents, and Arrival (you know its good when half the songs are my favorite tracks). I was worried that the album would fall into the pitfall of being too samey, but each song manages to have a different vibe and there is a fair amount of lyrical diversity as well (although i maybe would have wished for a bit more). ... read more
im dolla'ing it im dolla'ing it. nah the album was fire and it was great to listen to it on ty's stream. CBFW, DKTP, December 31st, I WISH, ALL IN, and SHOW ME LOVE stood out to me but the production overall was kinda underwhelming and some songs were extremely forgettable. ty did cook with vocals though. bring back dave blunts on TYCOON$ >:(
Casket Girl and Hachikō were amazing, lyrics were corny at times and it does somewhat fall into the pitfall of just being a pop album but an entertaining listen nevertheless! Production was also peak and Fuji Kaze never disappoints with vocals
i really wish this was on streaming, this album is so good. diverse and yet complete as a body of work, emotional, and it really does take the listener on a journey through hurt and raw humanity. strongly reccomend to anyone
amazing album and got me back into breakcore, yours forever is so peak but i found each song to be at least somewhat unique and i cant really criticize it too hard if its just awesome to listen to
this album really exemplifies hip hop, involving disses, fire lyricism, thematic production, and zero bad songs along with a stacked feature list. not only that, but the songs are catchy - the birds dont sing, ace trumpets, chains and whips - and insanely replayable. this is powerful rapping at its finest and im so glad clipse reunited to drop this BANGER of an album.
this album is so replayable and its just so refreshing and i love the mission behind it to make people move again. tyler can really do it like no other when it comes to this kinda thing, so multi-faceted
Damn it feels so refreshing to listen to a polished album like this with no skips and lots of experimentation. All around super fun listen, you can tell that this album was made with love and nothing about it disappoints. The tracklist flowed great and the features were awesome, bridging genres and bringing a unique energy. The production was also spot on and the tracks never felt samey. This is my first Kevin Abstract project but I will for sure be keeping an eye on his music moving forward, ... read more
Really creative concept behind the album, very well produced. Everything is Peaceful Love was my favorite song for sure. Can say that the album is worth a listen! Somewhat feels repetitive a bit, however, and my ears got bored of the SABLE sound fairly quickly.
First Jane Remover album that I've listened to and this did NOT disappoint, loved the energy and this definitely blends rage and that electric digital feeling so well. Favorite songs were psychoboost, twice removed, and turn up or die.
Pretty bloated album but I can't lie it grows on you for sure. POP OUT starts the album with a BANG and sets the tone for the rest of the album (which, admittedly, is not entirely followed through on). CRUSH has some of the best and most hype production of the year. EVIL J0RDAN, RADAR, TRIM, OLYMPIAN, and HBA bring out an amazing combination of hard beats and classic Carti rapping, while songs like RATHER LIE, BACKD00R, and WE NEED ALL DA VIBES bring some variety to thee album. GOOD CREDIT ... read more
YES this is what I want. Beautiful music. Perfect progression and production and its somehow so immersive. Bravo.
Prefer TLMWTS but I see the vision, mudbone and Superstar were nice songs.
