Such a refreshing listen! Top tier rapping over top tier beats, and personally it didn't get boring. J. Cole experiments with multiple different styles of rap on this album, but thematically it still flowed as a cohesive body of work. This is a must listen album of the 2020s already. I have a LOT of songs off of this record saved, but my personal favorites are probably I Love Her Again, Only You, Legacy, and The Fall-Off Is Inevitable.
Awesome album to just vibe out to ngl, no misses and tracks were sufficiently sonically different and I loved the way that loopcinema experimented with breaking past the standards of music and just having fun. Sounded like a blast to make! Favorite songs are My-Lovely-Little-Flamingo, Two-Lover Cinema, and Honey.

Writing didn't really stand out to me either on most tracks, but I honestly think that for an album of this genre, that ... read more
great flow and amazing beats, pretty much every song got my head bopping while listening to this so I can't complain! favorite songs are the title track, Star Watching, Dead Presidents, and Arrival (you know its good when half the songs are my favorite tracks). I was worried that the album would fall into the pitfall of being too samey, but each song manages to have a different vibe and there is a fair amount of lyrical diversity as well (although i maybe would have wished for a bit more). ... read more
