YE REVIEWS PT. 3
The third and final album in Ye’s College Trilogy, Graduation includes some of his most iconic songs, but also includes his worst two songs up to this point (Drunk And Hit Girls & Barry Bonds). Originally, this and TCD had the same rating, but as I’ve listened to these a few more times, the gap between them has grown apart, and my opinion on this album has dropped a bit. Overall, this album is really strong, with two more of my favorite Ye songs, I Wonder & Homecoming, definitely more experimental as well, with no skits/interludes like its two predecessors, and a more pop/mainstream-ish sound, in my mind it’s sound is a kind of prelude to the sounds of 808s & Heartbreak, still though, a really good album.
