Albums I need to listen to to finish the AOTY top 100 - #10
I feel like I set my expectations a bit too high and it didn’t quite meet them. I obviously thought it was a great album considering my score but it doesn’t quite live up to some of the other albums I’ve done for this series. There wasn’t a bad song on here but the only truly standout, playlist worthy song for me was Pictures of Me (I guess that’s kind of a hot take). A lot of songs just didn’t hit as hard as I expected considering my only exposure to Elliott Smiths music was Everything Means Nothing to Me, which is an incredibly hard hitting, emotional track. Nothing on here really tops that for me.
