Doolittle

I had known of pixies for a long time mainly because of Where is my Mind which is one of the greatest songs ever made. I also knew of this album and that it is pretty highly acclaimed. I just put on Where is my Mind on a whim and thought that I should check this out. This reminded me a lot of the Velvet Underground which made me very nostalgic because I used to listen to them a lot when I was just getting into music. This had some fantastic songs like Here Comes Your Man and while nothing here really touches the masterpiece that is Wimm it still has a very strong quality to it. There are a few duds on the album but overall it’s also pretty consistent. It was a really enjoyable album with some great riffs and while it didn’t blow my mind I still found it to be a lot of fun
