Oh my fucking god. I didn’t expect that from Lil Yachty of all artists but this album is genuinely one of the greatest psychedelic albums I’ve ever heard. It feels very much so like a middle ground between something like awaken my love and prime Pink Floyd, the latter of which a lot of the album samples. This is actually a very sample and interpolation heavy album which I kinda wasn’t expecting considering this isn’t hip hop. Another aspect that this keeps from hip hop are the heavily autotuned vocals. I think they actually fit the sound of the album really well and make the record feel more unique among other albums of the genre. They also mesh really well with the instrumentals, which can I just say right now, are absolutely mind blowing. The guitars on this album are actually insane and create an incredibly atmospheric vibe throughout the whole album. This is also just incredibly cohesive and consistent. Let’s Start Here absolutely blew me away and is easily one of the best albums of 2023
