Joji - Piss In The Wind
35

I was hoping Joji leaving the 88rising label and being mostly independent would lead to a better sound direction, some of the singles pointed towards that which unfortunately lead to an incredibly disappointing release as I had my hopes way high up!! Instead it seems he chose to go for a bloated, unmemorable, and uninspired album rather than refining what made some parts of his previous releases so interesting. I hope this is just a fluke and he does get inspired to create something that ... read more

KILL KARL - SUCK ON MY ALBUM
10

Save kill karl, hes way too tough, genuinely got a laugh out this shit ngl, outside of that, some (heavy on some, and on those aforementioned "some", very small segments) songs show he has the production skills, which he does, his website shows that very clearly he's mixed and mastered for a couple of smaller artists and he certainly has the skills for it which is present on here too (in some segments again), guess the IG reels rage bait posts bring in more money or smth idk . ... read more

山岡晃 [Akira Yamaoka] - Silent Hill 3 (Original Soundtracks)
90

The soundtrack for these games are just so good even outside of the game itself, even though I recently played it and many of the extended versions on here (I think unless I just wasn't paying attention fully) are just incredible

Jane Remover - ♡
90

I'm really hoping they expand more into sounds like these I was really hyped when the first 4 singles came out originally in the middle of 2024, the two new songs are great still but a full pop album would be awesome though I heard they originally scrapped the idea 💔 still happy with this though

Andrew Prahlow - Outer Wilds (Original Soundtrack)
90

As soon as it turned day as the game started, I knew this shit would be beautiful

Boris - Pink
100

Good lord just a marginally better version, but just enough to make it perfect for me

Glare - Into You / Void in Blue
70

better mix of some of their older singles, ain't as ear piercingly deafening but the vocals still feel so drowned out, still good tho

André 3000 - 7 piano sketches
50

Andre doing experiments with a piano, not much going here as these pieces are quite literally "sketches" and just experiments Andre released in order to (maybe) see how well it could do or maybe just garner criticism from people if he choses to look. I am quite excited to see what he choses to do from here if he does continue to experiment more and choose a different direction in his releases again, as he did with his previous ambient release.

Playboi Carti - MUSIC

NAY A FEATURE FROM LIL DICKY. DOGSHIT.

The KVB - Always Then (Revisited)
80

A revisit of their earliest album with more focus towards synthpop and removing its shoegazy feel it originally had and overall cleaning it up a ton but unfortunately removing a lot of its heavy reverb it had, especially on the title track. That doesn't take away from the individual sound in each track now however they're all pretty nice with each feeling like day and night when comparing the tracks

The KVB - Always Then
70

Absolutely insane reverb, soundscape, with pretty cool synths on this, a sort of niche sound I love with some blends of shoegaze, though this leans more on darkwave, this is their earliest work so many things sound very muddy but pretty cool overall

Geordie Greep - The New Sound
80

Love the mix of Samba/Latin jazz/rock in some of the tracks, definitely the highlights in this album for me, most notably Terra, which almost confused me based on the first track but overall was welcome as it progressed more and more, awesome album black midi should get together and break up again

Colin Stetson - New History Warfare Vol. 3: To See More Light
80

It is unbelievably haunting, even more, unbelievable that every track is him, even the sort of wailing sounds on some tracks are just him and his saxophone, the one highlighting this the most being, "Among the Sef", the video when I saw it ages ago stunned me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra-EsJpkG9o.

Ski Mask the Slump God - 11th Dimension
55

Despite being a great step up for Ski, showing growth from his EP in 2020 and his last album, this ends up being a bit boring despite some good high energy parts, unfortunately most of it ends up kind of mediocre, not much really stands out and some of it can blend together, maybe more of these songs will stand out more when he preforms some parts of the album live if he plans to go on tour.

Gunna - One of Wun
40

An hour of background noise for basic rap songs on radios in peacock shows

Maruja - Connla's Well
90

Absolutely blessed to have found them on Spotify discover weekly, newest release does not fall to expectations from what I've heard in their singles and previous EP

90

Took a long ass while for this to click for me, pretty good

Boris - あくまのうた [Akuma no uta]
90

The intro track for this alum tricked me into thinking it was gonna sound somewhat adjacent to that of feedbacker but this album was awesome
