a lot of what this album offers strikes me as a bit pretentious. my favorite album from earl since Some Rap Songs. earls pen game is still top notch and these beats are absolutely heavenly

a lot of the songs here bleed together quite a bit with pretty much the same minimal instrumental palette throughout and the singles that dropped for this are probably my favorite songs here but by no means was this a bad listen. Mac’s songwriting is still just as good as it’s always been
