fuckass bands like fleshwater and narrowhead seem completely unable to understand what made deftones great: pure love for music in all of its forms, insane creative power, the genuine desire to reinvent hardcore music, and the ability to successfully implement minimalistic electronic elements to sonically enrich their music

it's decent, and I actually enjoy anderson's vocal performances in this album more than the ones in dog man star or coming up, as they match well the darker atmospheres they have been going for in the last years
but it feels pretty dysfunctional at times, in several songs you have these very good post-punk sections ruined by some lame ass britpop choruses that feel just outdated and unnecessary
