Despite the production's rough edges, the limited budget that fostered it, and the feeling that it sounds more like several A-sides and a couple decent B-sides thrown together than a singular body, Jeopardy is a caustic jolt of a debut that startles and fascinates.
Jeopardy, has always remained one of my favorite post-punk albums shame i don't really have anything to add to the dicussion to this album, expect check it out, also it is like Pre-Post-Punk Revival

It's good, but not nearly as good as 'from the lions mouth'. Maybe I'm being a little harsh, but it sounded a bit amateurish, which can be good in certain styles, but it didn't hit in this album. It does sound very promising, and I liked most of the tracks because of the melodies and "idea" behind the tracks, but it needed some polishing in my opinion—the execution just wasn't the best. I would still recommend it though.
In many ways you can say these are the fundamentals to which post-punk and art punk are built off of. It’s the simple yet anchoring bass lines, the punchy steady drums, the angular and tasteful guitar work, and the sparse textures. It’s a sound that is never overpopulated and catered to create moods, often dark ones.
