JPEGMAFIA is a prime example of an artist who has never made a bad album, and I would argue that "EXPERIMENTAL RAP" is no exception to this rule. Consistently, the production is fantastic, Peggy's flow is immaculate (albeit repetitive), and for the most part it is an extremely entertaining album. Unfortunately for Peggy though, this is by far his worst album, and it is not even close. "EXPERIMENTAL RAP" sins enormously when it comes to repetition and length, which are ... read more
"I Need Drugs" is a very difficult album. From the abysmal cover to the song titles, it is clear what kind of an LP this is: a grimy, gritty, hateful, and perverted album made with intentions to shock and offend. Yeah, it is funny, I'll give this single that much. Otherwise, it is worthless since it is not actual music, rather it is instead devoid of artistic merit due to the fact it is AI-generated "music". Thus I cannot justify giving it any significant credit, or rate it as a legitimate work of art. Still, these memes are great.
My goodness, the chorus of this song just might be one of the most breathtaking things I've ever heard...
"Hustle Bones" is one of the most unique projects coming from one of the most unique bands out there. Death Grips already is a band to explore all kinds of different sounds, harmonic territories, mood changes, and much more. Their projects are founded on experimentation, remaining perpetually abrasive in their sound, yet no song ever sounds the same from the last one. ... read more
