Something about the tone makes this album so brutal than the other albums of Cannibal Corpse and the album cover fits perfectly. One of the best technical death metal albums and imo Rabid is one of the album's songs that has its best representation of technical death metal. I would also wanna comment on George Fisher's vocals. Hitting 50s and he's still taking ts lightly. It's impressive. I love it

The most punky album I've ever heard. So messy, so angsty, so eerie and so energetic. I love it. Unlike other punk albums, this brings more nostalgia to me. I've always want to set myself in the 90s/80s so I listen to this album to get that feeling. Examples are like 20 Eyes, Hatebreeders, Braineaters, Vampira, Astro Zombies and Night of the Living Dead. I decide to listen to Doom Metal since I listen to Black Sabbath more often lately. One band that comes to mind when I think of Doom Metal is Sleep. I used to despise this band as I always think metal is suppose to be fast-paced and not so slow. Effigy of the Forgotten is a great album but I like this album more. This should honestly get more attention. Their early works in this album gives more a brutal vibe than their new works in Effigy of the Forgotten. I've never expected this band to achieve such heaviness in this album. As such, Sad But True is the most heaviest song I've heard and I love it. The Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters are such great power ballads songs. It really felt like a change of atmosphere. Most favourite album of all time ngl. It's such a thrashy album compared to the newer Metallica albums. Motorbreath, No Remorse, Jump Into The Fire and The Four Horsemen are very great songs.
